Joris de Jong

Software Developer and VJ

Since his early days of repurposing old Pentium PCs to run visuals at underground warehouse raves, Joris has always been in love with that magical place where music, visuals and code meet and melt into each other. This love has since taken him around the world, performing at the biggest festivals and with the world’s top DJs. After being the face of industry leader Resolume for nearly 10 years, he left in 2019 to focus on his own projects and new collaborations with new amazing people. He also loves Gundams and 90s skatepunk and will now stop talking about himself in the third person.

Founder of 1minute Projection Mapping, CEO of COLORs CREATION

Representative of Projection Mapping Association of Japan(PMAJ). He produces dynamic projection videos by using various techniques and performs all over the world. He studied at Scenography, Display and Fashion Design of Musashino Art University.

In recent years, MICHI has been performing as a pioneer of video projection mapping and has been contributing to many promotional projects and public events. MICHI is the creator of “Projection Mapping Association of Japan” in 2011. He founded the Asian’s largest international video mapping competition – “1-minute projection mapping” in 2012. He is a producer and a director of various projects in the field of business, entertainment, local branding, large scale events.

Ana Ventura Miranda

Arte Institute Founder and Director

Born in Portugal, Ana Ventura Miranda followed her career as an actress and producer. After moving to NY in 2006, she worked as a journalist for the Portuguese television, to the Portuguese Mission to the United Nations and also worked for Sonnabend Gallery. While working as a journalist she maintained her network with the artistic community in New York and developed her skills as screenwriter and director.
In 2011, Ana founded Arte Institute, a NY based non-profit corporation for the promotion of Portuguese contemporary art in the United States. She has organized several cultural events in the United States, Portugal, Brazil, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Poland, Mozambique, South Africa and Angola including: the NY Portuguese Short Film Festival; the Summer Nights Series at Union Square Park; Saramago ́s Week in NY; Pessoa in NY; Arte Institute Contemporary Dance at Alvin Ailey; Portuguese Women in the US, the Gilded Cage at MoMA, Arte Institute’s Program at the Iberian Suite Festival by the Kennedy Center, among others. In 2015, she was awarded the Prize D. Antonia Ferreira, one of the most prestigious awards for Portuguese Leadership Women and in 2017, she was awarded the PALCUS´ Award for Leadership in the Arts.

Fei Jun holds an MFA in Electronic Integrated Art from Alfred University’s School of Art and Design in New York. Fei Jun is a professor in art and technology program, school of design, Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is also creative director of Moujiti interactive and co-curator of Beijing Media Art Biennale. As an artist, designer and educator. he devotes himself to the research, education and practice of art and technology. His artistic practice explores the hybrid space that constructed by virtual and physical space; His art and design work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in galleries, museums and festivals, including International Art Exhibition – La Biennale of Venezia, and has received many international awards including IF design award, Red dot design award and Design for Asia Award.

Evgeniy Vashchenko

Sound and Visual Artist, Media installation and Immersive environment architect, Parametric architecture designer

V4W.ENKO creates sound and visual compositions based on custom applications using Max/MSP/Jitter software; a visual coding tool used to create interactive visuals, installations and complex interactive environments. Evgeniy Vaschenko is a Ukrainian artist working in the fields of live electronics, installation, sculpture, sound art and video art since 2007. His work is realised by manipulating self-programmed algorithms in real-time. From 2009, he has participated and performed at number of media festivals, such as FIBER, Ars Electronica, CynetArt, Mutek, Kvitnu, NextSound and others. He has released works on labels like Kvitnu, Electroton, Nexsound, JNN, FRAMED, etc. Since 2011, he has run a label – the FF’Space, which is dedicated to algorithmic and abstract approaches in the arts of sound, visuals, design and micro-software development. Under the alias of V4W.ENKO, Evgeniy performs and develops algorithmic tools, installations, sounds, objects, visuals and graphics all over the world. In 2011 the audio/visual CD album “Harmonic Ratio” by V4W.ENKO was mentioned by “Qwartz Awards” (under direction by Alva Noto and Matali Crasset) nominated in the “Discovery” category.

VJ REIGN

Multi-Disciplinary Media Artist

VJ Reign is a Multi-Disciplinary Media Artist from Kyiv, Ukraine.

He studied film direction and worked in the TV industry for five years. After, he redefined himself as a media artist. By being one of the first pioneers in VJing and mapping in Ukraine, he has done more than 100 art projects during the past 11 years. In 2017 he created educational classes «Multi-Disciplinary Media Artist», and his students participated with three unique projects in Kyiv Lights Festival.

These days, VJ Reign works on innovative holographic AI-based Human-Machine Interface aiming to change the way we interact with the digital environment.

Stefan Kraus

Co-Founder and Director / The NODE Institute

Stefan Kraus holds a Diploma in architectural engineering from Bauhaus- University Weimar and co-founded the Genius Loci Weimar Projection Mapping Festival, the Bauhaus.TransferzentrumDESIGN e.V. and The NODE Institute, Berlin. Stefan is especially interested in the overlap of virtual and real spaces to create immersive media experiences – a passion he followed throughout his career as a digital artist, designer and educator. He has been teaching Interaction Design at Bauhaus University for more than ten years and his artistic work has been presented at exhibitions and festivals worldwide.

Maotik

Digital Artist / New media Lecturer

French digital artist, Mathieu Le Sourd (Maotik) focuses his work on the creation of immersive multimedia environments, interactive installation and audiovisual performances. His work has recently been presented in various festivals and galleries around the world, such as Mutek Festival, B39 in Seoul, Signal Festival in Prague, the British Film Institute in London and ARS Electronica in Linz.

Always in search of new challenges, Le Sourd designs his own audiovisual tools, generating visuals with algorithms and creating 3D worlds to transform perceptions of space. He collaborates with musicians, performers and scientists in order to continue his research into the relationship between art, science and technology.

Maotik recently moved to Berlin where he continues his artistic research by taking part in the art residency organized between Sonar+D and Factory Berlin. He also joined the CODE university where he works as a professor giving lectures about interactive design, generative design and AR/VR environment.

Yuri Kostenko

CEO, Managing Partner - Front Pictures, Kyiv Light Festival co-founder

Yuri Kostenko is a co-founder and CEO of Front Pictures, a creative studio focused on delivering immersive experiences and visual technologies for stage shows, museums, and planetariums worldwide since 2003. The company’s portfolio includes projects for such brands and organizations as Ferrari, Mercedes, LG, Coca Cola, Mastercard, Eurovision Song Contest, and America’s Got Talent. In 2017, Yuri co-founded with partners Kyiv Lights Festival, Ukraine’s biggest open air festival of light and media arts. He is also an active member of communities promoting immersive media entertainment and a frequent speaker at the IMERSA summit, IPS conference, Fulldome UK, Integrated Systems Europe, and other events. Yuri was also a jury member at the Ukrainian Event Awards 2013, and the Brno Fulldome Festival 2018.

Shandor Chury

Creative & Technical Director of OVVO Studio (Paris)

Shandor Chury is a New Media Designer, teacher and founder of polymorph studio OVVO Studio in Paris (France). Coming with solid musical and art background from Belarus and working his way through technical direction and staging of big shows and events, Shandor is especially interested in more hybrid and conceptual approach to new media experiences. His truly multi-disciplinary upbringing allows him to apply heterogenous artistic concepts and techniques to better vehicle an idea, a message, a state and to apply it to various commercial, educational and artistic projects. Shandor has been teaching in Sound Design and Production and Interaction Design for more than 10 years now in several institutions: SAE Institute, Eartsup, Sup de créa and presented his work and collaborations at various exhibitions. His artistic weapon of choice – Touchdesigner.
